Meet Our Team


Chief Executive Officer

In addition to serving as Chief Executive Officer, Stefan also leads the company's innovative Engineering team. Before he joined ClearView Audio, Stefan led the product management function at SMaL Camera Technologies where he managed the growth of the digital camera business. Previously, he held senior management positions at Siemens Mobile Phones and Philips Consumer Electronics. At Siemens, Stefan had P&L responsibility for mobile phone products from concept through market launch and lifecycle management.


Chief Financial Officer

Greg has more than 20 years experience providing financial direction to innovative technology companies. Before joining ClearView Audio, Greg served as CFO of two technology firms and was a senior financial analyst at the Hewlett Packard Company. Greg is a certified public accountant, and began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick in both the audit and consulting departments.


Vice President, Business Development

The audio expert at ClearView Audio, Allan served as the president of Boston Acoustics, a leading audio and electronics company, and a major OEM supplier to the personal computer and automobile industry. Allan also spent 16 years in senior management roles at Bose Corporation, most recently as general manager, Americas. Previously, he also held executive positions with JBL (Harman International), dbx, inc., and Carillon Technologies.


Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Relationship Management

The marketing talent behind ClearView Audio, Gene brings more than 25 years' experience providing strategic marketing services to design-driven home furnishings, technology, and multi-channel marketing clients including Apple, Restoration Hardware, and Williams-Sonoma. He has also advised several early-stage digital media ventures: Pandora, GoFish (BWAV) and Classical Archives. Previously, he was managing partner of Marketing Corporation of America and principal with Booz Allen. Gene is an avid amateur live sound engineer.

Guidance and long-term vision to keep ClearView™ Audio moving in the right direction


Stefan is president and CEO, and leads the company's innovative engineering team. Before he joined ClearView Audio, Stefan led the product management function at SMaL Camera Technologies. Prior to SMal Camera Technologies, he held senior management positions at Siemens Mobile Phones and Philips Consumer Electronics. Stefan holds a BS and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Clausthal (Germany), and an MSc in Management from George Washington University.


Carl is a managing director of The Venture Capital Fund of New England. Prior to VCFNE he co-founded First USA Partners, the exclusive sales and business development arm of First USA Bank, and co-founded Trans National Financial Services, a pioneering company in the development of affinity marketing of financial services. He is active in several non-profit groups including the Philanthropic Council of Boston Children's Hospital Developmental Medicine Center, the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, and The Boston Foundation. Carl holds a BA degree from Rice University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.


Jack is a managing director of The Venture Capital Fund of New England. Mr. Stewart has been involved in early stage New England venture capital for over 35 years, first as a partner of Corning Venture Management, followed by his formation of Kestrel Venture Management. In addition to his full-time capacity with VCFNE, Jack is also an active advisor to three other venture capital groups in the Boston area. He holds a BS degree from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School.


Stephen is a managing director of Mooreland Partners. Prior to Mooreland, Stephen was CEO of Robertson Stephens International (London) and he served on the parent company's executive committee. Stephen began his career in equity research with Alex Brown & Sons. He is an active private investor and also serves on the board of Credo Capital. Stephen is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Business School and received a CEP degree from L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. Bilingual in English and French, Stephen holds dual US/French citizenship.


John is a Silicon Valley veteran with a diverse background as a technology CEO, venture investor, leadership coach/advisor and board member at more than 25 technology companies. He has been an investor and board member at Brocade, Ironport, SiliconStor, Documentum, and Webify. In addition to serving on the ClearView® Audio Board, John is also a board member of Newlans (Boston, MA), SolarFlare (Irvine, CA), and the Grammy Foundation, and was the CEO of PonoMusic. He is the author the best-selling leadership book Unusually Excellent (Wiley, 2010).
